Been a while since I last shared an image of mean big mamma, my hawk neighbour. By the looks of it, she's still looking mean.

More backyard fun. The last time I posted my hawk visitors it was the male. This one is the female, "big mamma". It's far from the breeding season, but they still drop by sometimes here in the neighbor's tree where they nest, probably to check the nest area and see if any other hawk is taking...

    Roadside Hawk

Some backyard fun. Yesterday late afternoon both the male and female adults were in the trees here. This one is the male. He was in the shade but a small ray of sunset light was passing through the tree and hitting him in the face.

One of the last pics I took of the juvie that was born here in my neighbour's tree last year. He is not around anymore since about last month. Probably already found a territory of his own.

More backyard fun. Big momma made an appearance. Maybe came to check on the juvenile that stays here a lot, or just doing her round on her territory. She doesn't hang around here very often now.

My young neighbour has pretty much moved in to my backyard. It barely stays anymore in the neighbour's tree where it was born. It hangs out on my feeders, my wall, my trees, specially on my water bowls I put for the birds cause it's been too hot lately. It's almos grown up, but the parents...

You know all the Roadside Hawks photos I post here, the ones that live and nest on my neighbour's trees. Well it's breeding season and this is their chick this year.. It was raining yesterday and the little fellow came down from the tree to rest a bit on my wall, so I could finally get a good...
