I spotted this roadside hawk in a city park in Cali Colombia. He was stretching and I managed to photograph him in action.

Driving in Central Uruguay one day in February, we came across this Rufous Hornero nest on a pole with a roadside hawk standing on top of it.

Roadside Hawk (Rupornis magnirostris subsp. saturates) Sexes similar. Roadside along the Transpanteria Road between South Wild and Porto Jofre, Pantanal, Mato Grosso, Brazil. Small forested patch next to a wetland at ca. 128 m (420 ft) elevation.

Roadside Hawk (Rupornis magnirostris subsp. petulans) At the mangroves, Playa Sandalo along Golf Dulce, Puntarenas Province, Costa Rica. Inland area lowland Pacific secondary rain forest at ca. 10 m (33 ft) elevation.

Parece um cantar de pera! Rupornis magnirostris (Gmelin, 1788)

Closer than the one we saw on day 1, but still pretty distant.

On a walk from Bocas del Drago eastern direction I saw quite e few of them: they were loud and not really bothered with me.Maybe it was the beginning of the mating season?
