We were at my dad's funeral in Helensburgh last weekend. A A sad occasion but without any bitterness. He celebrated his 98th birthday a few weeks ago and had a great life, mostly active. Nice to see my family and some old friends and talk about my dad. The weather wasn't too bad and I went out...

Lots of Robins in Helensburgh - as always, many of them singing. I took a lot of pictures but I think this is my favourite.

    Should I hide?

In the shadow of the bush the bird had to choose between flying away or staying. Happily the bird stood for the photo.

We're off to Scotland for a couple of weeks tomorrow. Family in Helensburgh and then a few days on Skye. I'll have a laptop with me but I'm not sure whether I'll have the opportunity to post on Bird Forum. Just for a change today's posts are not several weeks old. They were both taken...

It's not only the Water Rails that are fearless at Rstasjn. The Robins are very approachable and seem to view people as food sources rather than threats. More like British Robins than Swedish Robins. :-)
