Considered a common dragonfly. However, I don't come across these that often and am always startled when they show up as their color is so unusual.

Not a common dragonfly here. Glad I have found a place where they are somewhat reliable.

I've been waiting to see this dragonfly for two years. Our only purple dragonfly and he's a beauty.
