Down to two and last year they departed on Oct 7th so now I start keeping track and taking a photo each day so I have a photo record on the times they leave.
These guys will be leaving here just before we get into fall. I have no idea how many we had this year but at times I thought I would get hit for sure. I went through another 60 lbs. of sugar, but having them around is well worth it.

I had posted shots of the female RT Hummingbird that I see at my feeders most every day but I was not seeing any males and wondered why. I got a note from my neighbor saying that she sees both the male and female at her feeders but only sees the male in early AM and late PM.

I have found some files that I haven't posted on BF before, taken during our US trip to see my children and grandchildren last year. It was great to see these wee beauties at close quarters. Taken on a day out with BF's Donny Taylor, a great day thanks buddy.
Before I got into photography, I could never understand why they would put perches on hummingbird feeders. Little did I know, they are not for the birds, lol.

This day was just cloudy, no rain. Those drops on the leaves are from the garden hose. I've had these hummers take a shower under a high spray on a warm dry day.
