A mature female with a dirty beak. A little late for nesting marerials (spider's web), so probably pollen. But then again, who knows?
Blessed, by wondering, Dan
A departing back and tail shot from the archives. Off into the wild blue yonder, indeed. I pray that their trip went well and mostly uneventful.
Blessed, by sucessful migration, Dan
More of what I do with what I got! Pretty (but very dry) weather we were having then. All birds seemed (still are really) to be seeking water desperately.
Blessed, being allowed to provide some, Dan
Watching a spry female hovering the 4X4. Gonna miss the little darlings! I won't miss the "super invasive" morning glory neccesarily. I can allow it to come up anywhere it wants next year.
Blessed, by invasive birds and vines, Dan
A Princess hovering up in the old morning glories. I don't know why those three females are still here on October 12. Probably just feel sorry for Dan. They'll know when it's time.
Blessed, by a summer of delight, Dan
If no one who knows what I do and isn't bored to tears wouldn't mind, I suppose I would like to continue posting my stuff through the winter. Even if it's in bad taste, to post hummer shots in frigid weather or at Christmas, please tell me.
Blessed, regardless, Dan
Well, down to two or three timid and restless hummers, difficult to shoot with patience. A female from early Sept.
Blessed, if allowed to backtrack to Spring, Dan
Looks like there is two timid, mature males, 4-5 juvenile males, and the rest mature and juvenile females. Typically I have at least the first 3 weeks of October left, but 16" behind in rainfall might just affect that.
Blessed, by my yearly gift, Dan
