Just chillin' on a palm stump

I spotted this cute little Pied-billed Grebe sunning on the top of a cut off palm tree. The estuary is somewhat tidally effected and this is part of the area that is very close to the high end all inclusive resort!

    A Lifer...Ruddy Ground Dove

It is always nice to add a new bird to the list, especially when you were not excepting it! There were several of these little cuties near the estuary in San Jose Del Cabo. We get so many of the Common Ground Doves that I almost over looked these little doves
  3. Least Terns

    Least Terns

Just outside the Estuary in San Jose Del Cabo, is a small piece of land set aside as a reserve for the Least Terns. This area is protected for them to have a nesting site.
  4. Look at those feet!

    Look at those feet!

The baby Common Gallinules will have some growing to do before the get caught up with the size of those feet.
  5. Common Gallinule

    Common Gallinule

Sorry I have not been around, this silly work thing has really taken a bit out of my "fun" birding. I did get to spend most of one morning in the Estuary at San Jose Del Cabo last weekend. The Gallinules were out and about. A few had their babies out exploring!
