I haven't posted a shot of a Sanderling for a little while, so here is one taken on an unusually sunny day a few weeks ago. I don't know what has happened to the feathers on its forehead but I imagine these busy little birds get into all sorts of scrapes.

Not the most detailed of Sanderling images but I quite like the patterns created by the patches of foam. It also gives me the opportunity for another bad title! Ron
