I saw these in August of 2020 in Epanomi lagoon, near Thessaloniki. Maybe not the best time for shorebirds, but there were a few around.

Not an uncommon sandpiper, but one that's uncommon for me to see. They tend to congregate more along the coasts, where I don't often go birding - but occasionally visit the wetlands too. This one was out in the western wetlands I visited Saturday, so it was another nice bird to add to the list...

On 22nd October I led a Birdlife WA walk around Lake Claremont. We recorded 49 species, despite the unseasonal low water level. The highlight was this Terek Sandpiper, uncommon in Perth area and, as far ass I am aware, the first record at our lake.
