A new lifer for me — Common Sandpiper

Located right next to my apartment, there is what used to be an artificial lake. It has now been mostly drained and turned into a rainwater retention basin with a small stream flowing through the middle of it. It was at this former lake that I saw my very first Common Sandpiper today. I hadn't...

Least or Semiplamated Sandpiper -- Central Montana

I think they are Leasts because of their more brown plumage and having a little longer decurved bill compared to the Semi. You can find more...

    Three Peepers

Left to right: Least Sandpiper, Black-bellied Plover, and Sanderling. I think. The various little sandpipers don't seem to be too concerned with staying sorted out by species. The only conflicts I saw were Sanderlings chasing each other.

    Stint? Sandpiper? Alentejo Coast Portugal

Hi All, I´m at a loss here. Photos were made on October 6,2021. On both photos the bird on the right should be a Dunlin, I think, but what bird is on the left? I do not think it is a Little Stint because it is lacking the white V on the back. Please help. Cheers, Bert
