    I saw a female whinchat departing on Monday and thought, oh wow another female whinchat was here. I saw this one today. Now do I believe it is the same one. Almost a sensation that a whinchat stays here for such a long time. By the way, Whinchat was named bird of the year 2023 in Germany.

    no mistaken with the Serbian stonechats by those long primaries and spots on the tail. managed only few shots this was very unfriendly. hope you like it. sorry not commenting much, i will do that in the weekend.

    Captured on the day before they destroyed their feeding habitat. Not one migratory species yesterday afternoon and today. It was a week with Common redstarts, Wheatear, Spotted flycatchers, European pied flycatchers and Whinchats. In the past also Red-backed shrikes and Stonechats. Sounds to me...
