    Taken at the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline at about 20m. We've seen a number of males throughout the last two months or so, but not very many females. So when we spotted this one up-close, she was nice to see in more detail.

    There were lots of these birds swimming close to shore at Arrowhead Marsh in Oakland, California this morning. I had to "toss" a lot of fuzzy shots before I got this one, whew!
