Another one from Lakenheath Fen last saturday. This Sedge Warbler was in the weeds, and with the wind blowing the reeds between me and the bird, made this quite a hard pic to take.
All eyes but mine were on the osprey circling across the lake, which was a shame for them, as they missed a sedge warbler within 10 feet of the hide window. Delightful, if somewhat noisy little birds.
This sedge warbler was obviously feeding young, repeatedly returning to this perch with prey every minute or two. Managed to get this shot from behind a prickly bramble bush!
A Sedge Warbler at Strumpshaw Fen on Sunday evening. The light was poor so there is rather a lot of noise but it was good to see them sitting in the bushes and hedges surrounding the reedbeds. Singing of course! Ron
