Anyway, made it to the Reservoirs, and more importantly, made it back OK. Only took 500 pics; be back when I've sorted a few more out.
Distant as usual, so quite a heavy crop.

Had a couple of hours at Lacky Lakes yesterday, no sign of a Kingy. A couple of these about, but being much more secretive than they were a couple of months ago.
This yougster managed to Grab its Lunch but could not hold on to it there was lots of noise and searching at the foot of the Reeds before he caught up with it.
Taken at Cley NWT Norfolk, The parent was busy feeding two of these large Juveniles. Cley produced Lots of good photo opportunities over the course of a few days.
Well out of more than 500 pictures that I took this morning, I've deleted all but a few. I'm happy with the Panasonic in good light, but on days like today, with poor light, I nearly toss it in a lake.|=)|

For me one of the definitive sounds of the summer: the frenzied song of a Sedge Warbler perched high in a tree. No prizes for spotting that I removed an annoying twig in this one. Ron
On Sunday I finally found a Sedge Warbler singing out in the open rather than down in the reeds or in the middle of a bush. I love the sheer exuberance of these little birds. Ron
