    Defending his feeder

    The smaller male Rufous hummingbird, on the left, was vigorously defending his feeder against all comers, including this male Black-chinned Hummingbird. During my time at the station I saw him chase away this Black-chinned, some Broadbilled, and a Violet-crowned Hummingbird.
