One from last year, I remember being amazed to see this bat flying in broad daylight,
at the time I had no idea what species it was and I later found out it was a Serotine Bat, one of Britains largest bats, and one often seen in daytime
Hi all, thanks for your comments on my Bat photo yesterday, I now know that it was a Serotine Bat,
one of the UK's largest Bats and a slow flier, which explains how I managed to get some photos ;)
here's another shot of it
and more info here http://www.bats.org.uk/pages/-serotine-827.html
Out walking with my wife yesterday we were amazed to see a Bat flying in daylight
I have no idea what sort of Bat it is but have posted it on the Bat forum to try and get an ID
If I get an answer I'll amend the title and info
with help from friends I've decided this is probably a Serotine Bat...
