This north Borneo endemic, like its close relative, the White-rumped, has a powerful and melodious song and so is highly prized as a cage bird. Sadly, poaching has greatly reduced its population in some parts of its range.

A rather scarce bird in Thailand, this picture was taken on a hill top on the very South of Thailand.
