Off to Lake Tkern tomorrow morning and hoping for Bearded Tits and Marsh Harriers and maybe a Bittern or 2 with luck. :-)

They flew around the ponds quite a few times.

Normally I only see a few Shelduck annually in the archipelago but this year I've seen enormous numbers on land and Gotland, and in Skne. The trip to land was wonderful from a birding point of view but less so photographically as the emphasis was on viewing birds through a scope or listening to...

Didn't get very close but I thought this maybe works as a habitat shot.

Taken using Casio QV-2900UX digital camera. This bird posed for me in the lovely evening light at my local nature reserve, Doffcocker, highlighting the droplets of water on its head.

Digiscoped in Bavaria Germany. I think the Shelduck is not very common here and I only saw this one alone. So I am happy to get that photo of it. : ) Coolpix995 - Zeiss Diascope85
