I recognize 3 males, 1 female and 2 youngsters.
This picture is heavily cropped, because the ducks were at a great distance.

We spent a few hours on the Isle of Wight yesterday, not really my cup of tea, but Hazel enjoyed it. We did have a nice meal and a couple of drinks, and the weather was nice...But very few birds in Cowes. Not sure whats going on today yet? But I might get a walk...

I spent almost 5 hours at Cley yesterday. There were patches of sunshine, but a lot of grey skies. Once again the strong blustery winds were not a lot of help, but nonetheless a good day out. I'm off to Holme, and maybe Thornham Harbour today, weather permitting of course...See y'all...

We were supposed to be going to Devon for 9 days this morning, but unfortunately I've not been feeling up to much so far this year. Aaaah, I hear you all say, LOL. I have some kind of virus, and its really knocked the stuffing out of me. I was looking forward to seeing the family...
Although I've been over to the west a few times, I'd never done the run right down to the Mull of Kintyre before - and a nice run it was, with lovely view of Gigha, Jura and Islay on the way.
Our first main stop was at Macrihanish where there were quite a lot of birds. We photographed a family...

I sketched and painted, and still doing so, several weeks on the river in Truro Cornwall when at low tide in Feb March. Whilst looking for Dunlin to complete a painting of 52 birds, still unfinished. I saw these Shelducks and the reflection and shadows from man made objects balances the birds...
