Well, I've found an old CD with some pictures that I copied on to it. This one is from the wonderful, beautiful Fair Isle way back in my early days of digiscoping with a Nikon camera and small Kowa scope - 60mm I think with non ED Glass, can't remember the model now. If you have just half a...

    Skroo Cliffs, Fair Isle

With Jim off on a jolly to Shetland, I thought I'd have a look through some of my pictures from these far flung islands. Fair Isle is about half way between Orkney and the southern tip of Shetland. It was rather foggy for much of our 3 days there, so I didn't manage too many photos...

    Puffin coming in

I've spent many hours trying to get these in flight. Top of frame, bottom of frame, a tail, blue sky - you name it! This one was photographed on Unst again, near the main Gannetry. Maybe one day I'll get a decent shot, not easy though with the little screen on a p&s camera.

    Great Skua

Way back in 2002 we had the most wonderful holiday in Shetland. Amongst the islands we visited was the lovely island of Fetlar. We'd planned a long weekend but it was so nice there that we ended up staying for 6 days (rather put the schedule out LOL). It was so hot that the tarmac was melting...
