    A Eurasian Whimbrel with its wings slightly lifted due to the strong headwind. It was seen wintering in the coast of Khanh Hoa, Vietnam and was patient enough to let me approach it.

    Ring-Billed Gull with one leg? - 8/4/24 - Spruce Run Reservoir - New Jersey - USA

    I was a reservoir photographing Ring-billed Gulls and I noticed something odd about a certain individual. It seems to have one leg absent from it when it was photographed. I'm not sure if it's due to the fact it's tucking in it's leg into it's feathers or it has a leg missing from it completely...

    Male. Found in beach/shore habitat. Was seen eating mussels as well as clams and other shellfish/mollusks. In a pair seen with what has seemed to have been a female.

    The bird in the foreground is slightly smaller than its companion. The bill is slightly shorter. The posture when feeding is not as football-ish. The loral angle is greater. The tail of this bird (on the left in the flight shot) is paler. Any thoughts will be appreciated. Thanks.
