This was taken in May while walking on my local moorland.
I was hoping to get to see one of the pairs on this particular evening but much to my amazment one flew straight over my head.
The same bird as yesterdays showing but this time he is keeping a close watch on me..... actually I think he is looking just beyond me at maybe his next meal.
Pretty pleased with this fella. Done all my chores for the day so spent an hour late afternoon up on the local moorland hoping to get a SEO.... Wow did I get one, this one flew straight past as soon as I got out of the car.

Since my 2X converter is non reporting I cannot tell if it was used but in this shot I think it was together with a tripod using a ball head.
A visit to Lincolnshire with Ivan Ellison to photograph short eared owls...it was not short on thick fog all day and bloody cold too!
I have dared to show the bird small in the frane ...at least it shows what the weather was like and so typical of the views we got. It was a great day and good...
