This was taken in Iona back in 2007. This short-eared owl just flew along the jetty at day time (by accident, may be). He landed and hid behind somr grass and peeped caustiosly through the green.
Not the best ever shot of a short-eared owl, however I was so pleased get it, been trying for sometime now. Part of the second severn crossing can be seen in the background.

Last of the 3 for today. This was seen on the way to a day tour of South Uist. It was sat in the drizzle, on the top of a pile of peat, on the moors of North Uist.
