Tried again for these birds yesterday but the fields were so busy with togs, birders and locals out enjoying the first bit of sunshine for weeks, that the birds didn't really have room to perform.
A new year and a new set of short-eared owl shots. Saw a pair of them over in Staffordshire on Sunday afternoon. Another cold session and quite gloomy, but wonderful to see.
Went to Worlaby Carrs for the afternoon with some birding pals and we were lucky to see 8 of these beautiful birds.
This one was perched quite nearby and unconcerned about the crowds watching it.
Hi Peeps,
Early posting for me today, Im might be taking meself off to Rye Harbour to see if I can catch up with a Rustic Bunting that was seen there at least twice yesterday. If the weather turns bad, I wont be going, gonna wait a while and see what happens?
Getting very envious of all these recent shots of these fabulous looking owls, so have rolled back the months to July, when I was fortunate enough to watch some juveniles flying around the island of Skomer.
Well Peeps,
Excitement here this morning, just had a new tripod and tripod head delivered, wooohoooo. Ive never had a proper one before, so Ive been fannying around trying to put it together for the past hour. Great service from Warehouse Express, ordered it yesterday...
Well Peeps,
Still too busy getting ready for tomorrow nights bash to get out birding. Got a new industrial jet wash so give the windows a blast yesterday, still hard to get all the Gulls s**t off. We have some more hands coming to help today, so maybe it wont take too long...
Its a lovely morning here in sunny Suffolk, but we have family stuff to do. Hopefully I will get a walk on the Warren later. Three more old uns for you today.
