Three from one of our trips to Portland Bill today. We are off to Dorset for a week on sunday 6th June, and hope to visit the Bill again. I have a lot to do today, as we have company coming for the Bank Holiday, so see y'all later.
Very few of these around my area over winter. This one was pertty consistent but seldom appearing before dusk. The structures in the background are part of an oil platform under construction.
From Saturday afternoon, after a poor day's birding, these owls raised our spirits somewhat. Shame the forecasters had mucked up again and we got rained on!
Tried Harrington first for the SEOs. Saw none, and nearly froze to death!
Another in the SOE series, He is just getting ready to dive after Prey unfortunately it was into Very Long Grass preventing me getting another shot, Also he missed his Target and flew off.
