    We watched from the car as this lovely shrike took a beetle in mid air, then munch on it, while perched on a cable.

    A Loggerhead Shrike. I shot this at the end of the day. I lost a little of the bird's bright white breast to the orange glow from the sun. The shadow made its own comp.
