Back in 2005 we had a rather nice visit to the Black Isle (which isn't an island, but a jutty out bit of mainland just above Inverness). It is where the first Scottish Red Kite releases were carried out.

A newbie on camera for me and how pleased was I to see a couple of them pop down to the feeders, though I only managed to grab one shot of Mr Siskin here. I'll post Mrs tomorrow.

Still in May 2004, we had a run up to Rannoch Loch, one of the loveliest drives in Scotland. It's a dead end road which finishes at Rannoch Station on Rannoch Moor.
Somewhere that day we found a feeder with Siskins - isn't he beautiful.
