This beauty popped on the post as I was walking down the path to the coast.

Think the wind caught the crest at the wrong time.....

We have had a fair bit of snow these past two days so popped up my fave site for Skylarks after work today to see if I could get something.Its a bit hazy but the front element had a lot of snow on it as it was windy.

My many thanks to all for wishing a speedy recovery on my back im pleased to say its much better than it was and im looking forward to going out again when weather improves (which gives me another weeks rest) its a pleasure to sit and view once more with very little pain thanks to all.

I rarely get a decent view of these guys on the ground (normally I fruitlessly scan the sky above me!) but a few were hopping about here right on the beach edge.

No it's not Dead just having a wee sleep, A old photo but one of my Favourites, It came to the surface while sorting out old files It brought a smile to my Face, Great memories.

The only bird that obliged to-day!

This solitary bird was working the high tide mark this morning. Taken from the car window.

Shows the length of toe spur quite clearly, the image was actually shot through wire mesh with manual focus, not the best of backgrounds.

Another from warmer days last year...

A lark flock of Skylarks has been inhabiting RSPB Salthome for the last few days and providing good photo opportunities from the Wildlife Watchpoint hide.
