The usually hard to find Wilson's snipe has been popping up a lot lately - this marks the 4th time I've photographed one in 4 weekends, and this time at a different wetlands than the previous shots. I'm not complaining, though!- Zackiedawg

Latham's Snipe
Several were out in the open feeding, next to a waterhole in the early evening. Uncommon behaviour here, they normally feed at night under the cover of darkness and keep out of sight during the day.- kerrybv

Taken at RSPB Greylake this morning with Nikon p1000. I was hoping they would be quite close and intended to use my DSLR. Because of the ice they stayed about 60yds away in an area that was thawing.
