Knowing they will be gone before too long, I couldn't resist having another couple hours sitting on the ground at Salthouse. It's magic to see them come withing say 3 feet of you. Yesterday, the Green Winged Teal and Turnstone were close again as well.
Well it felt cold enough for snow first thing this morning. There was a large flock of Snow buntings with a couple of Laplands thrown in, all very nice. Thought this fella was especailly handsome
I know the Snow Buntings have been flogged to death on here but these shots are from my first proper outing with my new lens.
It seemed everytime I picked the lens up the weather would turn bad or there wasn't anything about to shot, so hopefully the new gear curse has lifted now.
A super quick stop to add this little beauty to my year list, couldn't stay any longer as i had to be in work! Will definatly go back for a better pic.
