Social Flycatcher (Myiozetetes similis subsp. columbianus) Old Gamboa Road just west of Summit Gardens, north of Panam City towards Gamboa, Panam Province, Panam. Cleared with patches of remnant tropical lowland rainforest (mixed evergreen and deciduous forest) at 30 m (98 ft) elevation.
Social Flycatcher (Myiozetetes similis subsp. similis) Toucan Suites, Tarapoto, San Martn, Per. Urban setting with secondary rain forest at ca. 260 m elevation.
While, not acting all that social, this flycatcher was all by it's self near a small pond, catching damselflies. I actually spotted this bird, while shooting the photos of the Green Heron, which I will post next.

Taken 19Jan2010 at ~1150m asl at Albergue Hacienda Moravia de Chirripo, near Grano de Oro, Cartago Province (east part), Costa Rica. Bird was feeding on Ficus (fig) tree fruits adjacent to lodge.
