Still having fun seeing what the new G9X point and shoot will do through the scope. I was pretty close up, but then my min. scope focus distance is 23 ft., so it's at least that far.- Forcreeks

Pond song
These two Song Sparrows appeared to be nesting in the bank, or at least in the reeds along the bank, of a small pond. They sat sometimes on the reeds, sometimes on the grassy "balcony" of a hole in the muddy pond bank.- Doc Duck

Also pretty ubiquitous. Sometimes I would think I'd seen a new sparrow species, but it was just a different regional variant of Song Sparrow. I did eventually see a couple of lifer sparrows, though, when we got to Yellowstone and Grand Tetons.- Doc Duck
