I've seen more of this speices on the ground this spring than I have perched in a bush.

Following on from yesterdays theme...Heres three shots taken at my daughters place in Reading, Pennsylvania.

I think this may be an immature.

Haven't seen one of these guys in a long time so it was a pleasure to come across one last weekend.

I thought I had put up the juvie, but this is an adult I believe, or close to it.

This songster was very satisfied to stay among the cattails, far from my prying lens, but not far enough.

I find most sparrows to be shyer than this one. It seems that once it starts to sing it appriciates an audience.

I've just about high-graded myself up to date. One or two more and I'll be results-driven.

It's always a thrill when a bird bursts out in song in front of your lens.

One more sparrow from Thursday.

Not a cloud in the sky all day, and this little guy picked a good spot for a pose very late in the afternoon.

We have arrived in Cranbrook, and these guys are hunting in all of the fields in the neighborhood. We are staying in the country so there are plenty of birds and animals to watch out for. I am hoping to get an image the blue jays that the folks have told me about. They are here and are first on...
