    I make a bird cake made up of a mixture of various seeds, Suet, Flour , peanuts, Sultanas and any left over bread and biscuits. All the birds from miles around come to my feeding station

    Amazing to watch these birds just stuffing themselves with these yew tree berries.They always seem to swallow them so quickly ,never get them stuck in their throats. I have never taken as many thrush shots as I have during this last couple of weeks,it has been amazing watching the different...

    I am hoping he is a Song Thrush and not Mistle. Again,taken in the same tree,I cropped out the blue sky,and just left the trunk of the tree,with the sun light reflecting through onto the trunk,shows the texture of the bark of this very old yew tree.

    I really do like this type of shot,no cloning of unwanted twigs etc,she has her own little canopy of yew leaves and berries. Many thanks to all who commented on the Moorhen photos.
