This is the 1st time I have seen this youngster visiting my plantpots and feeding tray, but,Charlie blackbird has decided that he is not welcome and keeps chasing him away.I did remove the dead leaves at the top of the pic,and the white markings ,but it interfered with the head plumage,so left...
I make a bird cake made up of a mixture of various seeds, Suet, Flour , peanuts, Sultanas and any left over bread and biscuits.
All the birds from miles around come to my feeding station
Not much going on here, still cold, so not sure if I will venture out today, only went out to the pub for a while yesterday afternoon, so no new piccies. Three from earlier in the year for you today. Enjoyed having this bird in the garden also.

I am hoping he is a Song Thrush and not Mistle.
Again, taken in the same tree,I cropped out the blue sky,and just left the trunk of the tree, with the sun light reflecting through onto the trunk, shows the texture of the bark of this very old yew tree.
I really do like this type of shot,no cloning of unwanted twigs etc,she has her own little canopy of yew leaves and berries.
Many thanks to all who commented on the Moorhen photos.
