I don't know who named this bird however I think he should be named, "Strawberry Finch,". I posted this bird before but I think this picture is better than the first one I did this year. (have you done that?)
I try to give you guys some variety of my pictures and this lovely female Cardinal came up. I haven't posted a female Northern Cardinal since September of last year. I think she looks precious. I regret posting yesterday's photo (you ever do that?) it wasn't very colorful at all.
Ruby-crowned Kinglet even showing a speck of th Ruby crown. Ruby-crowned Kinglets are olive-green birds with a prominent white eyering and white wingbar. This wingbar contrasts with an adjacent blackish bar in the wing. The “ruby crown” of the male is only occasionally visible.
This was in my next door neighbors backyard so I took it through the window and screen. I think I got the ID right (we have lots of Red-shouldered hawks), but I could be wrong (as usual lol!) In Murrells Inlet, SC.
A delight to see the American Goldfinch because it's not a common occurrence. Hope you like my image with so much rain lately I wonder if we will see sunshine for two days in a row anytime soon. I love cool weather but I'm tired of the rain and cold and I'm ready for spring. Makes it hard to...
