Managed to get my camera quick and take a snap of this ordeal for the sparrow .... But it was a happy ending for the sparrow when the hawk seen me he flew off and dropped the poor sparrow.... I went outside to see if the victim was ok and he or she flew off... So happy ending.... Sorry its...

This bird is also know as 'Sparrow Hawk'.

An invitation to all you out there that would like to come over to France and. take photos of my resident Sprawk, Kestrel, Harrier, Hawfinches etc.

Yes I know its that Sparrow Hawk again but you cannot just ignore him when he comes this close. I think he wants to move in.

Although I have not seen my friend here each time he visits the evidence on the ground is clear to see. This time I was in my hide as he arrived. So nice to have a resident Sparrow Hawk in your garden, makes for some very good photos.

I can almost set my watch by him on his daily visits.

I am guessing this is the same little guy I snagged previously. Conditions were slightly better this time, but still very gray. No wind, to speak of, so that was better. Watched him for awhile. I would like to be a falconer, just for the fun of having one of these guys perched on my finger.
