A very common urban and rural dove in Southern Thailand

.... and no, I'd not been drinking... I did have the camera level. They put the feed out on an old farm trailer! I managed to catch a Spotted Dove, a couple of Rainbow Lorikeets and the male Red-winged Parrot, who'd decided he was hungry after all.

On the grass beside the track was a Spotted Dove, an introduced species, but still a Lifer for me. I think this was the only one I saw.

Struggled with clarity due to sun and humidity in Cairns on all pictures found the limitations of my bridge

I'm not sure whether these were introduced for their looks or somehow found their way to New Zealand on their own.

now also called Western Spotted Dove in HBW, or Indian spotted dove, to distinguish it from the Eastern race (chinensis); the shots in Opus taken outside India dont have the distinctly red eye ring .

It's often easy to neglect the commoner birds but I quite like this shot of a very abundant species

One of the few birds we now get in our garden since we downsized to a courtyard home.

We see this bird in our garden in Adelaide, so nice to see in Fiji as well!

Just chillin' in the morning sun. The native of India and Southeast Asia, came to Hawaii in the 1800's.

This dove was introduced to Hawaii in the 1800's.
