There were a pair nesting beside Jos's cabin in the forest.
The light wasn't good in there so I was quite pleased to get this picture - especially as I was being eaten alive by the mozzies (Scottish midges are pussycats in comparison to them!)
The weekend party is just winding down, still a few stragglers crawling from out of the woodwork. I think we have some of em here until thursday, then we are off to Gods Country on friday. No rest for the wicked, and I've give that evil liver some punishment over the weekend. But at least I feel...

No new photos, so it's back to the archives, I'm afraid. My one and only encounter with Spotted Flycatchers is when a pair nested at Strumpshaw Fen this year. They successfully raised young and have now moved on. It was great while it lasted and I hope they return next year. Ron
