Hope everyone is having a great day. Another shot from North Carolina. I love these guys.

Nice adult male. Shy bird, but, during winter months the need to find food forces them take a few chances.

This guy was waiting for his chance in the nearby birdbath.

This one almost has all the adult colors.

Not quite and adult male yet. Some of the secondary flight feathers still bear some brownish coloring; perhaps one more molt.

A bird that has recently become a common visitor. This species tends to be reclusive, preferreing to remain in thick cover. But, due to the cold, wet weather ( much needed here in California) it has been taking advantage of the easy food I keep supplied every day.
