    Nice adult male. Shy bird, but, during winter months the need to find food forces them take a few chances.

    This one almost has all the adult colors.

    Not quite and adult male yet. Some of the secondary flight feathers still bear some brownish coloring; perhaps one more molt.

    A bird that has recently become a common visitor. This species tends to be reclusive, preferreing to remain in thick cover. But, due to the cold, wet weather ( much needed here in California) it has been taking advantage of the easy food I keep supplied every day.
