Why don't Cooper's hawk's eat squirrels? Inquiring minds want to know. This photo was taken March/2013, but a Cooper's hawk came by for a meal the other day. He or she got a dove! Fine dining I suppose, and squirrels must have stringy meat or something
Rather than taking the easier route of just climbing down the feeder, this particular squirrel always chooses to hang by his rear feet and reach over to the peanut feeder.
