like many others I went to see this rarity, it seems in the following days it been showing very close, but I was happy enough with what I got.

The exceptionally tame shrike, it even flew and hoovered on may leg trying to pull off a cotton thread! It then decided to perch on everyones camera and telescopes.
I was hoping for a better shot of the Shrike pulling out a worm, but I had no leeway with the shutter speed (it was set for the bird against the sky) so unfortunately the shot came out blurred. THis is the best I managed.
I'd packed up my gear and was about to head off when this shrike flew past my car and landed off to my left. Well I had to swiftly unpack before he decided to fly off.
This was taken on my birthday last month ... so I like it ...
there were 4 grey shrikes on the same tree , but only this one has the clean and beautiful feathers, fully dressed for the occasion I guess :)
