I took this picture the day before I broke my wrist when slipping on a patch of mud. This is one of the few images I have brought back from my last stay in England. The weather was nice on that morning.
Two Doves together. Its mate was sat in a hole in the tree just below the branch .Going to be off the forum for a few days, will be back soon, take care.
These are birds I really struggle to identify in flight... in fact you can read that as "I can't"!
So I was really pleased when Peter saw these flying over and doubly pleased when they landed near the hide.
Not a Lifer, but only the second picture I've got of one - the previous one...
After Llangorse, we moved down to Llanfihangel Gobion outside Abergavenny. I've taken you there before, as it's a great place to visit on the banks of the river Usk and Jos Stratford's patch when he lived in the area. No sign of Cormorant on the power lines this time.
Now all these year's of...
A spectaculair flock of Stock Dove scared by a Rough-legged Buzzard, which tried to attack the birds again and again, without any luck. In this group, also some Starlings are present.
best,
Luc
One from earlier this year, that I forgot to upload.
A few of these nest in a tree right next to a tree where the Kestrels nest. I mostly see these in flight or high up Pylons, except for when the trees are bare, then you can see where they've been hiding for most of the year|=)|
Not just a Pigeon!! These are shy and wary birds that i have not seen much of round my patch . Captured this one coming into land at a shallow pool in a crop field.
