A beautiful female Stonechat photographed in my last Iberian Lynx tour to Andjar, Spain. The next Iberian Lynx tour will be February 7-11. Please find the trip report in the following link http://birdwatchingspain.net/iberian-lynx-trip/
This pair were very camera friendly today, putting on a good display from their respective perches. They didn't spend too long next to each other though so I was happy with this "spot the difference" shot.
everyone for your Birthday wishes.
not been around much with the camera, although it would be interesting to see how desert birds are doing with this cold wave we are enjoying.
hope i can have an hour tomorrow after sunrise.
this is form last February, hope you like it.
I was walking along the edge of the marsh. It was perched on a small bush above a pond. It was bright and sunny but very cold and windy. There was no one about.I took quite a few shots of the bird in different poses.
Morning all. We went out yesterday evening and were sorely disappointed by the lack of birds, mind you it was hot, 29C at 7pm, and bright, so you can't blame them for not wanting to come out to play. This is not a great shot but it's all we saw on the way home, a juvenile male taking in the sun.
I was about to bin this image of a stonechat captured in the Breton countryside when I decided to keep it because of the colours but I still don't know what to think of it.
