This is the third species of Booby you can find on the Galapagos Islands. This pair were on the side of the path, but did not move as our party walked by!!
We encountered good numbers of these boobies following our cruise ship off Mexico and Central America. They were especially common in areas of warm water with flying fish, a major prey item for Nazca Booby.
