Just a sunset view from my front porch in Oct., I'm not lucky enough to have mountains(or even a hill!) to gaze at, but I do get some nice sky views, thought I'd share one. Haven't seen a pretty sunset in awhile, and I doubt I'll see one tonight since for some crazy reason our temps have gone...
Old bog, one of my local patches. Very birdy natural area
that hosts overwintering Tundra Swans. Great opportunites to bird from the miles of roads that traverse the bogs.
I got up to shoot the sunrise and this little guy apparently thought I brought breakfast! I had not however, but was able to take a nice silouette of him. He kind of looks like one of the bird type outlines that are in my birding books.
The first 70 degree day of 2010 ended beautifully. A bit difficult to see in the photo but in the right mid area of the picture is a small flock of Coots enjoying the lake.
Another beautiful Florida sunset. Side note to this photo: The tree was in my neighbor's front yard. They recently took it down but it will live on in this picture.
Was checking through some images and found this one that was quite amusing, pity I'm too late for Halloween and that Wilma can't see it as I think she'd have liked it.
Taken from my house. I'm not sure what caused such a riot of color but we get these beyond belief sunsets from time to time. The trees in the foreground are a grapefruit grove located across the street from where I live.
Taken at sunset at one of the many lakes in my town. I didn't realize what I had until I got home. Pat Morita would have been proud. I'm not sure what type of bird that is. It may be a limpkin.
