The consensus was for a Swainson's Thrush over in the ID forum. In that case it is a lifer for me. Thanks for the help and thanks for the nice comments here.
Initially I thought this was a Hermit Thrush. But the more I looked at it, the more I thought it was something else. After looking at similar species, I came to the conclusion this is a Swainson's Thrush. If so it's a lifer for me. I have some other photos of it and will post them in the ID...
This is my first Swainson's Thrush. I was photographing American Redstarts, Black & White Warblers and Tufted Titmice that had swarmed in and were feeding in our Live Oak (we have a beautiful old Live Oak). He flew out from the under brush and gave me a brief chance for a shot or two.
