    As a relative newcomer to USA birds, I reckon this is a Barn Swallow. I captured the image on a pier on the Pamlico River in North Carolina.

    One of the things we love about coming back to France is the abundance of swallows, swifts and martins both in the countryside and in the villages. My TV aerial seems to be a favourite perch for the swallows, as here.
