taken this morning on a quick trip over to a old farm.

This swallow has attracted the mud as a material of the nest. Digiscoped. Kowa TSN-884, TE-11WZ, Sony RX-100, Digisco.com Turbo Adapter.

As a relative newcomer to USA birds, I reckon this is a Barn Swallow. I captured the image on a pier on the Pamlico River in North Carolina.

One of the things we love about coming back to France is the abundance of swallows, swifts and martins both in the countryside and in the villages. My TV aerial seems to be a favourite perch for the swallows, as here.

Taken with a Nikon D7000, Sigma 150-500mm. I spent several days and many hours to get this shot. Settings I used were: ISO 500, F6.3, 350mm, AWB auto1, 1/1250 sec.

This was the best out off about a 100 attempts at trying to get a flight shot off Swallow.

The Gannet is not going to lose this fish as it is making a fast getaway before the black back can steal the fish.

This swallow took the place of its partner to complete changing shift. Not sure which is the male and which is the female.
