Common as dirt over here, I know. But still pretty.

Another gloomy day so I'm still going photos from last month.

There was another frenzy of White-eyes at the water today.

There were about 20 coming down to bathe with the bulbuls last week. I hadn't seen them since last winter.

The white-eyes always keep a lookout when bathing.

A follow up to my posting yesterday of the white-eye leaving the branch. This was an earlier image.

I had to use iso 200 to have any chance at freezing action with the shaking going on.

A tough bird to digiscope.

The white-eyes have been feeding on fallen star fruit and the insects around them . I walked close to this one and he was too pre-occupied to fly up . I had been raining too so he was a bit bedraggled. Neil.

I posted a digiscoped photo of a white-eye a few weeks ago. This one was taken with a DSLR from almost the same spot.

I'm always happy to digiscope these fast moving little guys. This tree was near the hide and I was able to watch them at their own level for a change. I took a lot of frames over a couple of hours to get about half a dozen keepers.

I have posted this quick little bird before but I hope you don't mind another one.

Flowers are out as if Spring has arrived and the birds are swarming around the flowering Coral Trees.
