This is my first photo of the young Silvereye

The local Silvereyes around my apartment are enjoying my sugar water. A friend of mine the Silvereyes have not gone near her sugar water?

These little birds do some of the worst damage to grapes.

Feeding on my sugar water at my old home.

Silvereyes are one of the worst pests in vineyards. They peck the grapes which causes the whole bunch to rot. Most of the other birds that damage the grapes take the whole grape and the remaining grapes are not lost.

Always great value to photograph.

It was watching me having a cup of tea in a friends garden.

It was waiting in the bushes for me to leave so it could feed on the sugar water.

A few of them come down to feed on my sugar water.

These little birds also love the sugar water and hold thier own against the larger Tuis and House Sparrows.

These little birds are using my sugar water in great numbers this spring. They are so active and hard to get a good photo of them.
