This tame Tawny Antpitta came in and hopped around us while we were eating our picnic at Yanacocha, (NW Ecuador), even coming in to grab crumbs off the floor! See more like this at LOST IN BIRDING http://www.samwoodsbirding.blogspot.com/

Last of the antpittas I managed to get recognizable photographs of. This is the "easy" one, discovered rooting about just below the tree line on the slopes of an extinct volcano. Also flammulated treehunter and occelated tapaculo here, along with lots and lots of rain.

We were lucky to see 4 of these birds through the day! One of the easiest antpittas to see.
