Rubbish weather this weekend so I'll post a couple more from last Saturday at Rutland Water. A nice obliging Teal from Crake hide.

A female Teal snoozing in the golden sunshine at Strumpshaw Fen on Saturday afternoon. There were scores of Teal there and the jade flashes on their wings really stood out in the sunlight. Ron

well folks busy browsing files again,came across the sunlit stunner from a visit to marshside,hope you like,john.

I know i shouldnt wish our summers away but they are so rubbish what with terrible weather and no birds in flight to photograph. I so love the winter when all the wildfowl return. Today this small flock of Teal where frightened up by the passing Marsh harrier and I was in my element lol

These little ducks don't often get near enough for pictures of acceptable quality.

There were large numbers of Teal at Minsmere on Sunday. They kept popping up everywhere I looked but it was very difficult getting a shot of one with its bill out of the water. This is the best I could manage. Ron

Caught this male swimming in front of a beautiful backdrop of flowers and vines reflecting off of a still river, couldn't resist snapping a few photos! I use a public restroom as a blind, and yes....I know I look odd walking around a loo with a large lens and camera! (Ko-gamo)

One that landed on the ice for a few seconds. Light was harsh.

Nice to get close to these at Salthouse few days ago.
