    Great crested terns turn left

    I found out that it was worth looking closer at a flock of silver gulls, because it turned out that there were terns resting among them. These particular birds are in their non-breeding plumage.

    SW Florida (USA) - Terns, confirmation?

    HI All, Saw this tern (marked) on Brownsea Island Lagoon 30072022. I got a few pics before everything went up! I do have a theory... But has anyone seen this bird in and around Poole Harbour or ever seen a Common with an oversized tail? Natural variation in this species for instance? Thanks

    Juvenile Little Tern. 6 weeks ago there were no chicks, the adults had only just arrived, and now they have loads of chicks, all out hunting for themselves. A remarkably quick breeding season. Taken froma a good way off to avoid disturbance and getting pooed on by adults :D
